Véronique Lettre, Educator and Speaker
A former marketing manager and specialist, this breast and brain cancer survivor is the author of two light-hearted bestsellers, Plus fou que ça…tumeur! published by Québécor in 2010 and 2015. Her interest for medical cannabis led her to earn her certification from THC University in Colorado; since then, her passion for the medical aspect of cannabis has continued to grow. Ms. Lettre gives talks on the subject to the general public and to health professionals. Trained in Los Angeles by renowned chef Jeff Danzer, she is now preparing cooking workshops for those who want to learn how to make their own cannabis oil and butter. She also wrote the first book in French on medical cannabis, published in October 2018 by Trécarré.
Jessica Leclerc, Nurse
With diplomas in kinesiology and nursing, Ms. Leclerc is passionate about health care. With her diverse professional experience and her desire to put peoples’ health first, she has developed expertise in disease prevention and in the promotion of patient health and well-being.
Ms. Leclerc also participated, along with McGill University, in the development of a research program on medical treatments using therapeutic cannabis. As part of this research, she had the opportunity to support more than 300 patients dealing with serious illnesses. In order to share her special expertise in this area, she is now developing information and training tools on the subject.
With her knowledge, professionalism and personality, she will be able to guide you in the process of improving your quality of life and provide follow-up care that is mindful of your needs and health condition.
Dr. Geneviève Gagné
Dr. Gagné attended medical school at the Université de Sherbrooke and completed her residency in family medicine at the Université de Montréal in 2009. She worked for the Canadian Armed Forces for 5 years and then moved to the Estrie region, where she set up her family medicine practice at the GMF du Lac and the Magog Hospital. She is the mother of two young children and is interested in innovative treatments that can improve the quality of life of her patients, medical cannabis being one.
Jean-Philippe Turgeon, Manager
member of Triathlon Québec, Mr. Turgeon has transferred his many years of experience as a manager in the entertainment field to his new passion for the outdoors and adventure. He is the director of the new Salon Aventure et Plein Air de Montréal, which has met with tremendous success and will present its third edition this year. His desire to push his limits and inspire others to pursue their dreams aligns perfectly with the service he provides in the organization, production and logistics of sporting and adventure events worldwide. He has developed an interest in the benefits of medical cannabis as a therapy for athletes.
Paul Lavoie, Nurse clinician
Paul holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the Université de Sherbrooke and specializes in mental health. He has many years of experience in a variety of nursing settings.
Paul is also a serial entrepreneur who loves sports, finance and technology.
He also acts as a consultant for technology and finance companies and is an active player in the Quebec sports community.
His qualifications led him to take the position of regional manager for Bionick triathlon. He is presently a personal trainer and an elite-level triathlete who is passionate about different high-level different training methods.
Dre Karine Émond
Dr. Émond studied medicine and completed her residency at the Université de Sherbrooke, graduating in 2010 with a specialty in family medicine. After a year in Vaudreuil, she decided to settle in the Estrie region. Since 2012, Dr. Émond has worked at the Clinique du Lac, as well as at the local hospital and at the CLSC, where she specializes in youth mental health. She was also Head of the Department of General Medicine from 2013 to 2015 and is now Head of Hospitalization. Dr. Émond is very involved in her field of work because she is keen to see progress and innovation in the field of health. She believes in a multidisciplinary approach and the patient’s involvement in their overall state of well-being.
Nathalie Gervais, Nurse clinician
Nathalie holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the Université de Montréal. With twenty years of practice, she has gained valuable clinical expertise thanks to the variety of clients she has followed and the wide range of health problems she has dealt with during her career.
Aware of how challenging it is to provide effective pain relief, Nathalie has always been very open-minded about using alternative medicine and innovative treatments to achieve this goal. Believing medicinal cannabis to be clearly one of these treatments, she will support you with empathy and professionalism as you pursue well-being and improved quality of life through the therapeutic benefits of this substance. Her goal: to be there for you and with you!
